 The musician credits on this album are: Paul Davis, vocals, 12-string guitar, timpani; Martin Kitcat, mellotron, piano. electric piano, harpsichord, vocals; Alan Cowderoy, guitar, vocals; Tim Whatley, bass; Robert Lipson, drums.
On the Fugue in D we have a trio of harpsichord and, I guess two guitars.

 The cover is a superb example by Colin Fulcher - or Teenburger as credit who was also Barney Bubbles. He was a true artist in that this cover was his homage to Pop Art. The outside is the black of the Vertigo logo designed by Linda Glover which inspires the ! and his decision to used textured white cardboard. The middle is not a painting but a photo of a painting in a diarama. It is a classic.
