The above album was compiled and planned for release in April 1962, but withdrawn. Its cover picture and title were copied from USA LP MGM E/SE 3942. According to Deutsche Grammophon at the time, the release was initially delayed as a result of the outstanding success of the previous album MGM (6)60023 CONNIE FRANCIS SINGS FILM HITS, which topped the charts in both Germany and Austria. It was subsequently delayed further when huge sales of Connie's German-sung singles prompted demand for a German hits collection, and then eventually scrapped all together.
