likewise: 1972. the apparent (p) label dates are - or should be: they're not entirely reliable - the dates of the original publications of the recordings (or, iirc, early sixties & earlier may be the publication dates for the printed music bicbw; check up on this before quoting me on it) and are given by numbered track on the two labels; any remaining tracks' original publication date is that of the final, unassigned date - which may also be that of the original publication of the album - but isn't necessarily.
I have several Contour LPs from around that time, so my guess would be around 1972 for the year of release. Don't forget as well, the "6870" series was running concurrently with the "2870" releases in the early to mid 70s, before distribution of Contour was taken over by Pickwick international, who re-issued the albums with a "CN" catalogue number.
Yes, definitely 70's, because Philips/Phonogram and Polydor adopted the 7-digit numbering in 1970. And track 5 on side 2 is (P) 1969, so this couldn't be 1967 anyway.
This one is dated 1967, yet onthe back sleeve there is an advertisement for a BEatles album which was released in 1971. Also this type of cat number was introduced later. Aren't all these 6870** Contour releases from the early sevties?
