Many years ago, when I was at university in Manchester, there was a Piccadilly Radio DJ named Dave Ward. One of the many very amusing segments of his show involved him playing an amazing Roger Whittaker whistling track and then inviting listeners to call in and attempt to copy it. As Dave's show was on late at night this usually involved tipsy blokes calling from pubs blowing spit and raspberries down the phone line. However, one night a guy phoned in and performed the track flawlessly. An impressed Mr. Ward asked how he did it to which the chap replied " I play the mouth organ and took my teeth out".

 Review
Very clever and talented musician, his whistling sounds like an instrument. Roger Whittaker is well known for his exceptional whistling, baritone voice and guitar playing ability. This is an excellent album for a little bit of out of the ordinary, nice listening. Only downside I could find was that it doesn't include his hit song, (The Last Farewell). Other than that it was a most enjoyable way to pass half an hour.
