Liner notes inside gatefold by Burton Cummings:
This album exemplifies the broad spectrum of AM radio. There are many different cuts here and various approaches to music, but they share a common bond in that they all reach throngs of people and were widely accepted. There are tunes here that I personally like, and others that I dislike, as I'm sure there will be for you, but they all have a habit of flashing you back to your own circumstances at the time of their popularity. A good package to have ten or fifteen years from now.

Track D1 is erroneously credited to Tommy James & The Shondells, when it was his first solo record without them.
