This festival was recorded Saturday 20 July 1968 at the Municipal Shell, which is located at Overton Park in Memphis, Tennessee. Of the six performers who contributed to the disc of 33 rpm, only McKinley Morganfield (Muddy Waters) was not indicated at the bottom part of the front jacket. The front jacket displays two homes and a portion of an apartment building which are located in Memphis, Tennessee.
