The sound quality is stellar with Roy's vocals sounding so crisp and clear it's almost scary. The stereo separation is far more pronounced than the stereo issues on Monument or any of the CD releases.
The problem is that there appears to be a flaw in the plate from which they've pressed the album. Track 1 on Side 2 is "Blue Angel" and there is a visible and needless to say, audible mark that covers the entire track, causing a continuous "pop" for the duration of the whole song. I'm on my second copy now and I am really not pleased.
Third time's a charm! Finally got a clean copy from a different pressing and it sounds great.
