Notes were written by Brian R. Harvey

John R. T. Davies personal copy reveals that there are errors in the notes and that it was not recorded in Nottingham but in Cranford in April 1951 and also in a different session in London in April 1951.

He also corrected the date of formation to 1949 from "... just after the war". Another correction was that Ken Colyer and Sonny Morris were both playing cornets, not trumpets.
