| Fokeman 15th Aug 2015 | This perhaps needs a discussion. Shanachie is without doubt an American label. For Canadian sales I believe they shipped the records and left BOOT Records to print the covers with their distribution information. This is therefore an American pressed record for sale in Canada but sold by Celtic Music (CM Distribution) to someone who was living in the UK at the time of sale. I would feel more comfortable with this record being listed as a USA record even if the sleeve was printed in Canada. The original was on a UK label - Highway, which was bought up by CM after insolvency so they must have felt that they had the rights to do whatever they wanted since they owned the rights to the licence in the UK and could reimport cheaper foreign reissues and sell them in the UK. | |
