Lee Wrecker 17th Jul 2017		Review An album that is very much like a live show I saw of the Kinks around this time. The first half of the show was fairly average and the second half was great. And so it is with this album, the first album contains lacklustre versions of some old classics and some contemporary plod rockers. All of which results in the Kinks sounding flat and as though they're just going through the motions. The second album is a much more spirited affair with the band in better form and sounding a lot more punchy. So, the second album makes this worth having but the first album takes some of the shine off the package as a set. Some good moments but not essential by any stretch of the imagination. 5 people found this review helpful. ✔︎ Helpful Review?
