Neil, my guess on the year of release included the sticker on the back cover from Chandlers Better Record Bars. Might this have been in Sydney? My only trip down under to Oz was in late 1979.
Gypsy Woman(1970) was a come-back hit on either MCA or Uni(an MCA offshoot label) for Hyland, by then an adult(his years at ABC-Paramount were as a teenager).
Vidman45, Your guess of year is fairly close. EMI lost the rights to ABC content around that time(they were issuing ABC and ABC/Dunhill stuff on their Probe label, which was an offshoot of Stateside but designed for the ABC and Dunhill lists). The Paramount lists that this LP was made from, were carried here first by W. & G., then Festival but I'm unsure as to when ant to which company Festival sold those rights.
