PhilMH SUBS ● 28th Feb 2025		The Copyright Office gives the date as 19 December 1975 (a Friday); both Billboard & Cash Box reviewed it in their issues dated 3 January 1976, and it charted the week of 24 January 1976. 12 January 1976 was a Monday - it's possible that ABC didn't adhere to the Tuesday release day convention, and it's also possible that ABC pushed the release date back after submitting the copyright registration, so that the trades were effectively reviewing advance copies, but in the absence of any firm proof of that, I would go with the Copyright Office's date.

RogerFoster 7th Jun 2020		According to the booklet notes by Tony Rounce in the 2015 UK CD Reissue of this the release date was 12th January 1976.



PhilMH SUBS ● 10th Feb 2019		I would have made Hot Buttered Soul the primary label here, as I have just done on the Australian issue, because despite the ABC catalogue number, the label design is unique to Hot Buttered Soul, and "Hot Buttered Soul Records" appears on the label circumference, as it does on my Australian copy (and on the spine of that copy too).
