Lee Wrecker 27th Mar 2015		The Undertones were undoubtedly significant but time hasn't done their output any favours. In hindsight I think "Hypnotised" was their most consistent effort. This collection of singles has the brilliant novelty "Mars Bars" "B" side and all the great early singles but there are also plenty of later mediocre attempts at mainstream pop. The Buzzcocks 1979 comp "Singles Going Steady" preempted this format but was a much tighter album. A good idea but it doesn't quite come off as a coherent album.
