| | That's great PhilMH, Lee W, It always irritates me when I see this one listed on ebay as "original pressing" and feel sorry for the less-well-informed who buy it thinking that. I think that's the difference between this site and discogs, This site is much more open to scrutiny. Good job! |

| | I also agree that 1982 should be the date on this one. When I entered it I must have just entered the copyright details as I had nothing else to go on. I do not have catalogues of all Australian releases and did not personally buy this record - it was given to me - so I just did my best with the nothing I had except what was on my copy of the record. Thanks to everyone for sorting this one out though. Correction sent. |

| | Hi wax_musuem, I think you misunderstood me (or, I didn't express myself as well as I might have). I wasn't saying that this should be included with the HMV issue, I was just trying to explain where the 1971 date came from. Based on jasper's latest comment, I agree that this Axis issue should be 1982. |

| | It would not be right to include this one with the original HMV issue. Axis is Axis HMV is HMV; for consistency it should be listed separately. Look at the UK issue of Piper.., on Columbia and Fame. Different labels, different cat#'s. The date should be adjusted to reflect it's real release date. Just copying discogs is stupid. We might as well not bother with this site and just use discogs. |

| | Going by the Michael de Looper database axis cat #1099 Al Martino's Mary In The Morning is listed as April 1982. There is no mention of an earlier Axis release of Relics and cat # 1100 should be from 1982. |

| | Hi guys, I don't have any precise info about this particular LP, but I think that 1971 would be about right for the issue on HMV SOELP 9791, as I have the MOTOWN GIANTS Lp in the same series (Tamla Motown STELO 9816) which was a 1971 issue; IIRC, these EMI mid-price issues had the Drum logo and catalogue numbers added to them in around 1972. I think the original early-mid 70's Axis label was black and white, and this Axis design would be 1980s; the (P) 1971 is on it because that's when the collection was first released.
EDIT: I don't remember whether the 70s Axis numbers were the same as this or not. |

| | Further to previous comment this was also released on the Drum label (another EMI budget label) DRUM 8026 in the early 70's - maybe 1971 as per Discogs info. |

| | I believe that this is the original release on the budget Axis label - released 1982. Axis started in 1972 so 1971 will not be correct. The original 1971 release was not on the Axis label. Maybe PhilMH will be able to provide more detail. |

| | When added this one I noted that it had the same cat# as the 1971 release and such should be listed with those from that date. Unfortunately this is the only version up but is a re-release with the same label and cat# as the 1971 version. The exact date of release of this issue I do not know and is not (last time I looked) listed on Discogs. So, that is the reasoning behind why it is listed as 1971 surely an original will turn up and be shuffled to the front of the queue sooner or later. |

| | Most likely an 80's reissue, judging by the label but that's all I've got. Same cat# as 1971 release. |
