Scratchy45 18th Aug 2017		This 10" LP is a waypoint in that old, old process of record company re-release of material across different formats as artists move on. At the time of this release, Philips had European rights to USA Columbia releases, Peggy Lee was by now releasing solo material for a new US record company (Capitol), as was Benny Goodman. At least some of the LP material appeared on 78rpm single releases in the first place (e.g. Columbia USA 36617 side 1 - "On The Sunny Side Of The Street"). USA re-release formats for the collected tracks in the late 1940s include 78 rpm album (Columbia C-170) , double EP set (Columbia B-406 - which I need to add to 45cat), and the original US 10" LP (Columbia CL 6033).
