The Beatles Collection gathered together 12 UK albums in their original sleeves with a new album containing previously issued material that did not appear on the other albums. The full set was:

EMI decided to keep the album collection "pure" by including only the albums of new material that had been released between 1963 and 1970. This meant that the two 1973 "Red" and "Blue" albums, the 1976 Rock'N'Roll album and the 1977 Love Songs album were not included, neither was the 1966 Collection Of Beatles Oldies, the Magical Mystery Tour album or the American Hey Jude album.

Record Collector 2nd Sep 2015		I have the three volumes of living in the seventies no relation to the 1990's issues all original digitally remastered way much better than Steve scanes poor Quilty tracks on his CDs



Neil Forbes 2nd Sep 2015		Thing is, RC, I've stopped buying CDs some time back because I kept striking non-authentic content on discs issued by "the majors"(EMI, BMG. Warners, etc), so I gave up on commercially-made discs and now I search out vinyl(45rps singles or EPs or LP albums) and make my own CDs from those as my source.

Neil Forbes 2nd Sep 2015		@RC, if you bought the set very recently(say, in the past month), then paying only $70 means the set's devaluation in percentage terms is the same as the number of dollars you saved, i.e. 30% = $30.

Record Collector 15th Jan 2015		Of course those albums wouldn't be included it was ment to be a collection of studio albums. I was so desperate to get hold of this but ended up getting the Beatles box instead



Bluemeanie 4th Jan 2015		I remember seeing this box set in red, in the HMV store in London. Didn't have the money to buy it back then, wish I did it was the hard to find mono box. Doh!
