I don't doubt your expertise, but didn't US Columbia album prefix codes go from KC to PC to JC to FC?
Unless this is a Canadian copy.
Missed out PC first time around... I see now, looks like around 1981/1982 TC prefix followed on from JC, but older product kept the JC code which would I guess translate to a lower retail price.
When I was busy importing in 1978 to 1981 JC prefixes were $7.98 retail, (the then top price for a Columbia single album) and therefore cost me more wholesale.
I think the number shown as catalogue number BL 37808, is actually the Side B matrix number, although I'm not sure if the catalogue number is actually 37808, but 37408.
These should be the correct numbers.....
Matrix Side A - AL 37408
Matrix Side B - BL 37408
Columbia catalogue number (on spine of sleeve) – FC 37408 (also on labels)
There is also a Columbia Half-Speed Master Vinyl Album available, HC 47408, a CD, CK 37408, and the Canadian album version is TC 37408, and has the same matrices as the US copy as listed above.
For your information, next consecutive catalogue number was FC 37409 Wings - At The Speed Of Sound, 1980 Columbia reissue, Matrices: AL 37409, BL 37409.
