ReviewA mishmash of tracks but some gems here. The soul covers are uniformly blah but “Suddenly Winter” is a psych gem and several more of the band originals are quite good. Avoid the stereo version; it is electronically rechannelled to simulate stereo and sounds tinny compared to the preferred mono version.
pulls the five tracks dropped from epic's version of the tremeloes' second cbs album, "alan, dave, rick and chip" - and the cover! - and the single a-sides, "suddenly you love me" and "be mine (mi seguirai)", and smooshes them up against four stax, atlantic & tamla motown covers by the determinédly pop lads...
(well, it's one way of creating an album, when there's not enough new "product" from your val-u-a-ble property crossing the atlantic. i suppose. not exactly excessively coherent an album, though.)
