Upsetter FC 6th Feb 2023		It took a few searches to get a result. The Google search is a bit particular. I have Cashbox bookmarked but it also takes a bit of work to get results. World Radio History timed out the search I used on Google. Fortunately, most stuff I put up was not popular enough to hit the radar at the major publications.

I usually only do that when I screw-up my own uploads!! ☺ I rely heavily on Billboard Magazine when I try 2 research a release year 4 my uploads by checking this link, and please make SURE 2 put a check in the 'Search all issues' box. My apologies 4 getting slightly off-topic...



Upsetter FC 5th Feb 2023		I didn't get that Billboard page when I searched. I use World Radio History and it can be difficult when using common words. I found only ads that had other stereo releases. Did you submit the mod correction?



edlongus SUBS 5th Feb 2023		sheepdip1234 and Upsetter FC, I'm no expert either, but I find this album mentioned in Mono and Stereo under New Releases/Jazz in the 31 August 1959 issue of Billboard Magazine (2nd column, 3rd from the bottom). That may be 4 the new Stereo release, 'cause it's also mentioned in the 19 August 1957 issue in an ad on the right side of the page (probably Mono only at that time?!?)



Upsetter FC 5th Feb 2023		Couldn't find definitive proof that the stereo came two years after original release. No luck searching the magazines. But I am not a Blue Note expert so I rather leave the dating to someone who is.
