Briefly had his own TV show up there in the mid-70s.

He owns a castle - Towie Barclay Castle and is the Laird of Gordenstown, Aberdeenshire. He arrived in London in early 1968 having received his call up papers for Vietnam. He has been in the UK ever since. He refused to fight in the war and handed his papers symbolically to a member of the church in the UK to ask for sanctuary. He has links to Fairport - most of whom played on his records and maintains links with the folk community.

Tarves. Didn't he rent or own some small castle? In the 70s. I think it was a pinkish castle if my memory serves me well, i was only a kid
