Notes Note the language used is often Auvergnat which explains the not-quite-French nature of the song titles. The Scottish is a musical term to describe a partnered country dance - sometimes called by the German "Schottische" - originating in Bohemia. Gentiane are Jean Blanchard, diatonic accordeon, violin, mandolin, vocals, cowbells; Bernard Blanc, cabrette (bagpipe), vielle (hurdy-gurdy), cowbells, cris et ritournelles (vocals); Emmanuelle Parrenin, vocals, vielle, épinette (a bit like a lap zither or mountain-dulcimer); Philippe Fromont, violin, violon alto (viola); Gérard Lavigne, Fender bass; Denis Gasser, piano, guitar. The first two members of the group are also members of La Bamboche and the third and fourth members of the group play together and Emmanuelle is also a member of Mélusine.
