 These are from the mid 1960s Swan label, so you can go earlier than this.
They recorded Jack The Ripper in the staircase of an apartment to get an eerie echo effect. Don't know how much difference it made.
They first released the single on their own Rumble label, which I owned briefly before trading it. Then it was apparently rerecorded by Swan.
