 Bracketed with their former name due to another later Detroit band already on here.

I once asked Geoff Deane about the name change, he said 'fuck knows', then suggested management must've thought it a good idea. Obviously the band didn't agree as they went back to being Leyton Buzzards after leaving Chrysalis.

Great album despite it being basically a compilation of singles, a few unreleased tracks and BBC sessions. Details below...

B4 from SMALL 7 (produced by Andre Jacquemin).
A2/B7 from CHS 2288 (produced by Steve Lillywhite).
A3/A7/B8 from CHS 2328 (produced by Steve Lillywhite).
B6 from CHS 2360 (produced by Chas Chandler).
B9 from a John Peel Session 22/01/79 (produced by Bob Sargeant).
B5 from a John Peel Session 06/06/79 (produced by Tony Wilson).
A1/A4/A6 from a BBC session 1979 (produced by John Etchells).
B1 from a BBC session 1979 (produced by Bill Aitken).
A5/A8/B2 were at the time previously unreleased studio tracks (A5 produced by Steve James, the other 2 by Andre Jacquemin). A8 was later released on K 18284.

The non Peel BBC sessions were likely for Mike Read and Kid Jensen.

B3 is a matter of debate. The credits suggest it's from CHS 2360 only it's not the same recording. It could be an alt version from the same sessions but just sounds too different. Could be another BBC session track (not Peel) and included in error or credited wrong.
