Notes

This Columbia disc of 33 rpm concerns a group called the Union Gap of which Gary Puckett was the lead singer. This is the first Columbia disc of 33.33 rpm of which the Union Gap appeared. Even though this group was based in San Diego, Mr. Puckett was reared in the greater Seattle area. Mr. Puckett named the group the Union Gap in honor of the name of a town of the state of Washington.

Although this was NOT the final Columbia disc of the popular series of 33.33 rpms that was both monaurally and stereofonically issued, this reverse jacket was the final one, which indicated that this disc was both monaurally and stereofonically available. Furthermore, the front jacket of the stereo counterpart of this monaural disc was the final one that indicated that this disc was both monaurally and stereofonically available.

After the Columbia CL-2810 issue, Columbia continued to spordically issue popular series discs of 33.33 rpm were both monaurally and stereofonically issued. However, the monaural discs only indicated the monaural catalog # on both the front and reverse jackets. and the stereo discsonly indicated the stereo caatalog # on both the front and reverse jackets. Also, advanced copy discs of 33 rpm were monaurally issued not with the mono catalog #, but rather the stereo catalog #. Finally, monaural Columbia issues above the CL-2812 catalog number that indicated their respective mono catalog #s were comercially pressed up to the Columbia CL-2915 disc of which was entitled Gary Puckett and the Union Gap - Incredible - Featuring: Lady Willpower, Over You.
