Originally recorded on April 28-May 1, 1952 and released on 10" as CL 6220 (and in other formats, most as below) on May 31, 1952, a special project commissioned in the wake of the 1951 movie Lovely To Look At which also contained songs from that musical - and why the subtitle on this album. In the liner notes of that original release, it was mentioned that this was Kaye Ballard's debut on record.

The order of the tracks on the original 10" LP were, based on the sequence here: B6, A4, A3 and B2 on Side 1, and A5, B2, A3 and B5 on Side 2. The matrix numbers on that (LP 9742 and LP 9743) would have been assigned after those for this. My own pressing of this - the 10", natch' - was on styrene, and the center label for Side 1 was die-cut so far off-center that you could see the bleed for the label above it on top. Oh, and the die-cut center hole was 0.344" rather than the customary 0.281" for vinyl LP's. Ms. Ballard was on two tracks on the 10", and four here.

Finally, {Images #2643440 & 2643441} are of a Hollywood pressing with Bert-Co label fonts. Here can be seen the Bridgeport variant.

Besides the 10" LP, this also came out as both a 78 album (C-311) and 45 box set (B-311), both consisting of four records:
- (4-)39756: B6 / B5
- (4-)39757: A3 / A4
- (4-)39758: B1 / B4
- (4-)39759: A5 / B2
This also, later in '52, had gotten the two-record double-pack EP treatment, thus:
- 5-1212: B6, A4 / B4, A3
- 5-1213: A5, B5 / B2, B1
