Trester 28th Apr 2016		B8, "The Skeleton Fight": I just see that the real artist was Mack Allen Smith (Statue Records). The song was written by a certain Gilreath, not by someone called Chambers. http://www.45cat.com/45_search.php?sq=Skeleton+Fight+Smith&sm=se



Trester 27th Apr 2016		On this LP, several artists or attributions are disputable. For instance, the liner notes to B8, "The Skeleton Fight", have to admit: "Unissued recording that was sold to us. Nobody knows if this really is Eddie Cash. Just one demo is everything that was left of it." B3: Ray Ruff was acompanied by The Checkmates, not The Chackmates: http://www.45cat.com/record/hlu9889 A3: On the original 45, "Knees Shakin'" is attributed to Frank Starr, not to Don Terry: http://www.45cat.com/record/nc079721us In the liner notes of this album it reads thus: "Frank 'Andy' Star (!) is supposed to play the guitar on this one." Etc. Many questions to be solved.
