confranfan SUBS 25th Jun 2017		PICKWICK INTERNATIONAL (GREAT BRITAIN) LTD release CONTOUR label The British arm of Pickwick International is one of the most successful in the budget albums field. Most of the company's releases have appeared on its own Pickwick Records or Pickwick StarTrax logos, but the above album label states "Pickwick Presents Contour", in similar fashion to those issued by Musical Rendezvous. There is no change to the Contour logo. Confusing matters somewhat is that MC equivalents also appear on Contour, while CD counterparts bear labels stating Pickwick Compact Discs and Pickwick Music. The above album was simultaneously issued on CD PICKWICK COMPACT DISCS PWK 113 and MC CONTOUR CN4 2081. Album liner states compilation licensed from Polydor Inc., who assigned it the international number 829 742-1, further underlining the close ties between that company and Contour. Sleeve picture is widely regarded as the best May 1965 London Mayfair Hotel press photo call shot issued to date. Added barcode digits and composer credit.
