| | Quoting Lee: "I don't think the Australasian fiasco where records (particularly by RCA) were manufactured in one country yet sold in both had begun in 1974."
Correct. RCA Limited was only established in New Zealand as a branch office of the Australian company (not a NZ company in its own right) in about July 1975 IIRC, so any NZ pressings showing manufacture and distribution by Pye, Allied International, Radio Corporation of New Zealand, etc should have their own NZ entry. And I wouldn't like to stake my life on copies that show "RCA Limited Australia and New Zealand" always being retailed in both countries, I suspect its just legal boilerplate to reflect that that company owned the rights to the recording for the region. Ditto the "Festival Records Australia and New Zealand" pressings of the 80s and beyond. |

| | Added gatefold sleeve scans to be shuffled into place. Thanks to the Mod that created the NZ entry for the scans that were on this page. It was very swift work indeed. I'll send a correction concerning the new scans I've just added. By the way my copy with the tan RCA labels is most likely from 1978 when all of Bowie's RCA back catalogue was re-released (at mid-price) to coincide with his first tour of Australia. |

| | I'm not sure whether Coolah's original 1974 labels belong here as they are clearly (stated on the label) a New Zealand issue and not Australian. I don't think the Australasian fiasco where records (particularly by RCA) were manufactured in one country yet sold in both had begun in 1974. So I think Coolah or a MOD should create a separate New Zealand entry for the original 1974 labels that are added to this Australian release. My original copy of Diamond Dogs from the same year, 1974 (https://www.45worlds.com/vinyl/album/cpl10576g), has orange Australian labels if anyone wants to compare or contrast the labels.I'll do the gatefold pics now that I have re-listened to this and found it to be much better than I remembered in my previous comment. By the way Coolah I have sent a correction so if a MOD creates a new entry you may get a PM to alert you to the fact you need to change your "I Own" status on this edition.
Mod Edit: Done. |

| | Just to remind us we all make mistakes even the thin white plastic soul man. Not the best live Bowie you can get, for diehard fans only or if you want to hear him do "All The Young Dudes". Unrateable?! Out of respect. |
