Notes

Jerry Corretta is an arranger, pianist and composer, who started playing at an early age, but decided to play baseball for a few years. Afterward, Mr. Carretta joined a band thru which he professionally played the piano in various bands until Sammy Kaye had presented him to Don Cornell, who became his business partner and companion.

During their partnership, Mr. Carretta had accompanied Mr. Cornell during extensive musical tours where Mr. Cornell had sung tunes that Mr. Carretta had arranged. However, Mr. Carretta was tired of arranging songs, so he took some time to study and develop his own type of music by learning the Schillinger Method of musical composition thru the guidance of two professional music instructors.

After some time, Mr. Carretta had gained so much knowledge of writing music that he composed and eventually recorded eleven of the twelve songs of this Coral album. Such tunes are mostly of mood music which are enhancements of different themes which represent different shades of feelings.

Even though this Coral disc of 33.33 rpm did not sell well, the music had inspired various folk singers, such as Judy Collins and Bob Dylan to further develop thier own musical style to express their feelings in newer type of musical mood fashions.

Lastly, this is the third 12 inch disc of 33.33 rpm that Coral had issued, but was first one of which the Coral logo disc label was pressed in a "ten to two o'clock" position. Previously, the Coral logo disc labels were first issued where these logos were horizontally pressed on a red label. Only the previous two 12 inch discs, CRL-57000 and CRL-57001 were repressed in a "ten to two o'clock" position.
