The source of this info is found by means of the 18 January 1958 edition of the Cash Box magazine on page 44.

Steve Allen, who plays these tunes by means of the Wurlitzer Electric Piano, was the first presentator of the Tonight Show before Jack Paar had replaced him. Mr. Allen had helped Coral records earn a great deal of money due to the high sales of many of his comedic records. Also, Mr. Allen had recorded under the direction of the Dot Record Company after he had relocated to the Los Angeles area.

Sadly, this Coral disc did NOT sell well, but this LP contains four humorous self-penned compositions and eight others of which he recreated parts of the music to entertain comedy viewers and listeners.
