 Review
Ronnie Dove ended up being sold to Certron Records, a new label from Nashville operated by Aubrey Mayhew, the former owner of Little Darlin Records. Despite the fact that Ronnie recorded enough material for the label to fill up several LPs, this is the only one to get released, and it's a compilation of his Diamond singles to boot. Actually, despite being billed as a "hits" album, only 5 of the 12 tracks were issued as singles. Something of note however is the inclusion of the song "No One Ever Lost More", the only new track on the album, despite not being advertised as such. Just about every copy of this album has distortion on most of the tracks. A Capitol Record club pressing exists without distortion, but this album is very scarce, so the Certron pressings are what you are more likely to run across. If you're looking for a good compilation of his material, look elsewhere. If you're a collector of Ronnie's records (like myself), then the album is still worth owning, even if only for the unreleased track.
