PhilMH 26th Nov 2014		I suspect that this was an export issue to a country/countries where the Columbia trademark was then owned by EMI, possibly to American bases in Germany and elsewhere. US Columbia releases imported by retailers usually had the label name on the covers and labels obliterated by black texta - sometimes fairly cleanly, other times less so!



checkm8 26th Nov 2014		On the back cover, it looks like every place the word "Columbia" appears (five places), "Columbia" is covered by either a CBS logo sticker or a CBS sticker. In the Columbia Records write-up on Wikipedia, it states that "From 1961 to 1990, its recordings were released outside the U.S. and Canada on the CBS Records label". The cover was probably printed right before they made this change and it was decided to release this recording with CBS stickers over the word "Columbia". I wonder if the label was CBS or if they used a Columbia label with CBS stickers on it. I notice from your profile that you're in England, so I assume that the copy that you have was originally purchased in England (or at least outside of the US or Canada).



gregs45s SUBS 16th Dec 2013		First rate schmaltz from the 'vibrato meister'.I have the cover only on this one.I've just noticed there is a strip of x4 CBS logo stickers on the front,and a strip of x5 on the back,they are raised up,and have definitely been stuck on after,any idea's?
