中聲 [Chung Sheng Record], believed to originate from TAIWAN, is one of the more prolific bootleg "labels". Most releases are pirated editions of USA albums which have been discovered in black, orange and red vinyl. The number of confirmed items and differing vinyls suggests the probability of many other, as yet unallocated, releases. The album set out above is believed to be an original compilation.

They did seem to be genuine releases in the Taiwan area. Although they were basically copies without artist permissions.
There is the compromise of leaving the label as Taiwan, but labelling each release as a Bootleg/Repro in the drop down 'Format' menu.
中聲 - Chinese
Chung Sheng Record - English
Label from Taiwan of doubtful legality. The label catered between others, to US soldiers stationed in Taiwan in the 60's and 70s (but of course Taiwanese citizens bought them too). Covers were often photocopied from Japanese or US issues with altered colors. Many releases are on colored vinyl. Some records appear also to have been pressed in South Vietnam before 1975 for the local market.
The release year can often be determined from a number on the labels. The date format is: YY.MM.DD. Add 1911 to the year number for the release year. Sometimes the day is not listed but the same rules apply. If these numbers are not present, the release date should always be left blank unless stated on the front cover, etc.
Some people mistakenly call it "CSJ Records," as they cannot read Chinese.
CSJ is not the record label and not the company but CSJ is often a part of 'Chung Sheng Record' catalogue numbers.
Common catalog prefixes of this label are: CSJ, CSL, CS (10 inch).
