Notes A side recorded by Trevor Jones of techniques learnt from Aborigines who taught him to play. B side recorded by Trevor Jones of native experts in the art of Didjeridu playing. The first six are all of north-eastern Bunggal class. The next two are Wongga songs of the western Lira style. Finally there is an Ubar accompaniment, first played and then chanted. The remainder of side B contains songs recorded in the field by Mr. and Mrs. L. Hiatt, as Mr. Hiatt was, at the time in 1960, carrying out anthropological research from the Australian National University, Canberra.
