Notes

Although Hal Blaine is best known for collaborating with a Los Angeles in-demand group called the Wrecking Crew, he was born Harold Simon Belsky in Holyoke, MA. Despite the fact that Mr. Blaine does not vocally perform, he had played drums to more than forty tunes that reached the number 1 positon and to more than 150 tunes that had peaked at position ten or higher. By means of this disc of 33.33 rpm all the tunes have a unique respective month that is indicated in parentheses.

Mr. Blaine had utilized the slogan of Hal Blaine Strikes Again to mark music scores and locations at where he performed. Furthermore, Mr. Blaine had played drums by means of six discs consecutive of 45 rpm that had reached the status of the best “Record of the Year” award. These discs were A Taste Of Honey of Herb Alpert in 1966, Strangers In The Night of Frank Sinatra of 1967, Up, Up and Away of the Fifth Dimension in 1968, Aquarius (Let The Sunshine In) of the Fifth Dimension in 1970, Mrs. Robinson of Simon and Garfunkel in 1969 and Bridge Over Troubled Water of Simon and Garfunkel in 1971.

Furthermore, this is the second disc of 33.33 rpm of Hal Blaine that was issued by Dunhill and the final disc that was both monaurally and stereofonically issued in the United States. Finally, Mr. Blain had also produced and arranged the tunes of this record with the assistance of renowned record producer Steve Barri.
