This is the absolute first disc of 33 rpm of David Bowie, which was issued in both the United Kingdom and the United States. This US Deram disc contains twelve tunes whereas the UK Deram disc contains all the twelve songs that the US issue has and has two tunes of which are Maid Of Bond Street and We Are Hungry Men, which were not of the US issue of this Deram disc. Even though Bowie composed all the tunes of this disc, this Deram disc did not sell well in neither the United Kingdom nor the United States. Both the UK and US Deram issues of this disc of 33 rpm can sell for more than $3000 if these discs are near mint condition. Furthermore if these Deram discs are factory-sealed, some record collectors will pay more than $6000 just to purchase this disc even though most of the songs are awful. Bowie experienced his first commercial prosperity in 1969 when Space Oddity became a big success in the UK and other European countries.
