This is the first and only United States Deram disc of 33 rpm that featured Whistling Jack Smith. Though Smith was born William Moeller, he utilized Whistling Jack Smith simply because Moeller whistled throughout the strumental tunes that he performed. Additionally, Smith was one of the very few artists who combined his tunes by means of whistling and rock and roll drum beats. Smith had a successful disc of 45 rpm that was entitled I Was Kaiser Bill's Batman that was popular both in the United Kingdom and the United States. By means of both this UK-issued and US-issued Deram disc of 33 rpm, all twelve tunes were the same except that some of the tunes were in a slighlty different order of both the US and UK pressings. Furthermore, this disc of 33 rpm was entitled Around The World With Whistling Jack Smith in the United Kingdom.
