Added label & disc scans from a yellow vinyl copy. Unfortunately I cannot provide images for the first disc, as my copy contains two of the second disc!
Mine;
1 - Tri-fold sleeve by Robor Limited. Yellow Vinyl wth yellow labels and black print.
Dead wax; all 4 sides 'Strawberry' and DJE 29001 x (A5, B5, C5, D5).
2 - Gatefold sleeve, no printer credit. Black vinyl with split yellow and black labels first used for the second reissue series in mid 1981 (DJM 22000 nos.).
Plain inner for sides 1 & 2, full colour lyric and band photo card inner sides 3 & 4.
Dead wax; DJE 29001 (A18, B2, C16, D12).!!
Done a bit of nosing around, and it's seems this issue was available as yellow or black vinyls, with yellow labels on the yellow vinyl, and black on the black vinyl... except for some (later ?) black vinyls which have split yellow and black labels.
The other issue: DJLPD 1001, is the Pye one, which has the transluscent red-black vinyl, and was not apparently available as yellow vinyl.
No date is given for this cat number on discogs, but 1001 is listed as being 1973.
I have this as a standard double black vinyl with this entry's cat number on both spine and all labels, but this appears to refer only to the yellow vinyl issue.
The next issue which most seem to have "owned" has a variant cat number on the labels and refers to the black vinyl issue.
Furthermore, what you were saying about the Pye issue Deltics, being the first press of this record, I have seen a couple of those which have the characteristic translucent red colour to Pye vinyl when held up to the light, but mine does not (It's just black), so mine must be a CBS pressing of this (?), made in or after 1976.
Yes, DJM switched distribution from Pye to CBS in 1976 and this was reissued after that. The linked 1973 release gives the DJE catalogue number as an alternative which is incorrect as it refers to this reissue.
"Benny and The Jets" was issued as a single on DJS 10705 in September 1976 and references this reissue on the label.
