W.B.lbl 31st Oct 2023		This (and other compilations in other countries) came about as a direct result of Col. Tom Parker's sale of Elvis' masters from 1956-1972 to RCA itself, thus depriving "The King" of future royalties from his earlier hits; it is said the sales from this, while his newer material was dying on the charts, essentially killed his recording career in terms of making new music, with only three or four studio sessions (including at the "Jungle Room" at Graceland which was not exactly built to suit the kind of professional standards associated with actual recording studios) over the remainder of his life.

Jasper 19th Mar 2017		I thought the track list on this looked familiar - same as Australian release "Rock 'N' On 24 Legendary Hits"- RCA ‎– SP-135 also a 1973 release. Except the Australian release has an extra track on each side - A6 - Heartbreak Hotel, B6 - Blue Suede Shoes, C6 - Wooden Heart and D6 - Viva Las Vegas.
