Astor was an Australian record company, and MCA Records bought ABC Records in February 1979, so your cover at least is for an Australian reissue from 1979 or later (ABC was distributed by RCA in Australia and New Zealand before that, from 1975). Is your label actually ABC Records, or an MCA Records label showing a (P) 1972 credit for ABC Records? Do you have a mismatched cover and record, maybe? (Discogs lists an Astor pressing with this catalogue number as being on MCA Records, but doesn't have images of the labels). Whatever the case (P) 1972 is legally correct as the first year that this compilation was issued, but usually the copyright owner to be listed should be the company or individual who owned the copyright at the time that the particular pressing was issued, so a 1979+ pressing should read (P) 1972 MCA Records, Inc., as MCA acquired ABC's copyrights.

I have a copy of this record, however the label on the record is 'abc records' 1972 and the sleeve has no mention of 'abc', instead it has MCA and Astor. Does anyonw know what is correct in this case?
