Notes Arnold Michaelis, who had a top-level position at Columbia Records, was a writer and producer of Music Magazine, which was broadcast by means of the WQXR radio station in NYC. This interview with Chester Bowles, who was the governor of Conneceicut from 1949 to 1951 was the fourth MGM disc of 33.33 rpm thru which Mr. Michaelis had performed interviews of other renowned individuals, such as Eleanor Roosevelt, Oscar Hammerstein II and Richard Rodgers. The RP designation after the MGM catalog number is an acronym for "recorded portrait", which means a case study done by means of an interview. Finally, both sides of this disc exclusively focus on the entire conversation of Mr. Bowles and Mr. Michaelis.
