This is the first MGM disc of the Metropolitan Jazz Quartet, which focuses on great themes of great american picture shows. By means of the front and reverse jackets, this group is viewed the new "melodic jazz" stylists of America. Four more consecutive MGM discs of 33.33 rpm which were simultaneously issued with this MGM E-3727 disc will have the catalog denoted ID #s of MGM 3728, MGM 3729, MGM 3730 and MGM 3731.
