This MGM disc consists of tunes of various musical productions, such as Brigadoon, Gigi, My Fair Lady and Paint Your Wagon. All these tunes were created by Alan Jay Lerner and Frederich Loewe. However, the Starlight Symphony Orchestra, which is conducted by Cyril Ornadel, had performed all these songs.

Despite the fact that all the Lerner and Loewe musical productions and discs of 33.33 were very prosperous, this disc sadly did not sell well probably because many Broadway musical spectators felt that this disc was so poorly compiled that the tunes of four diverse musical productions did not flow in the same manner that such tunes did when they were first issued in their original musical production format.

Finally, this was the first “manufactured in the USA” MGM disc of 33.33 rpm that was originally issued by means of the black label that was utilized until mid-1968. However, the Canadian-produced MGM discs of 33.33 rpm and of 45 rpm, both of which had the same catalog number that the US issued discs had, were still originally released with the yellow label of the 1950s until 1964.
