Notes

Lovelace Watkins was a Las Vegas-based singer and performer who had achieved prominence in Europe, South Africa and the United States. While Mr. Watkins had performed in the United Kingdom, he became so popular that Mr. Watkins was invited to entertain at the Royal Command Performance. In South Africa, Mr. Watkins had earned two gold albums and become so famous that a public parade was held in his honor.

After Mr. Watkins had returned to the United States, he was a guest on the Mike Douglas show, the Tonight show with Johnny Carson and the Ed Sullivan show while he was promoting this MGM disc. Though Mr. Watkins was called "The Black Sinatra", his powerful and unique voice did not prosper thru his disc recordings mainly because of poor management of the arrangement of his recordings.

Due to the fact that Mr. Watkins had not reached his full professional potential in the United States, he had relocated to the United Kingdom where he achieved far more entertainment prosperity in that nation than he ever had in the United States.
