confranfan SUBS 25th May 2017		The title track of the above collection is a British composition with music by Dave Lee and lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer. It was written for the BBC Television show "That Was The Week That Was" following the assassination of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy in November 1963. Connie's version of the title track was recorded within days of the broadcast on the BBC and issued on the single MGM K 13203 backed with MY BUDDY. All proceeds from that single were donated to the J. D. Tippit Benefit Fund, to aid dependents of the policeman shot in the tragedy. Proceeds from the sale of the LP showcased here went to the Kennedy Child Study Center.
