I have the World Record Club (Australia) release of this LP - unique sleeve art design released in 1972.

Funny you should mention the track, Cry Softly Lonely One, RC, I have it on an American M-G-M issue, coupled with Pistolero. I have those two songs on an LP and CD issue.

One of his best songs from 1967 cry softly one but the very first Roy Orbison song I ever heard was penny arcade

That's the funny thing about Roy Orbison. Here in Australia(and NZ) as well as in the UK, all his material through to about 1972 or so, whether on Monument or M-G-M, all appeared on the London Label, though in Australia/NZ, EMI and Festival both were issuing Roy Orbison product, EMI on London(where they issued the brand on behalf of the UK owner, Decca), and Festival on Monument and often you'd see the same songs turning up under both brands. You'd buy "Working For The Man" on a London single, later it'll turn up on an EP issued on the Monument label. It'd be enough to do your head in!

Roy Orbison left Monument to sign with M-G-M in hopes of getting to appear in a movie or three. He got to do one movie, a contrived western flick called "The Fastest Guitar Alive". There was an accompanying soundtrack album, of which the two notable songs were "Pistolero" and "There Won't Be Many Coming Home" The album depicted here is Orbison's debut release for M-G-M in 1965.
