Interesting that the labels state "Stereo": 'Jimmy Mack' is usually re-issued in mono. The original Martha Reeves (stereo) LP "Watchout" has a different version to that which was on the single. I'd assume it's that version included here, unless it's the single version in fake stereo. It runs about ten seconds shorter (2:44 rather than 2:53). In 2005, there was an "Extended Stereo Mix" released on CD (3:10), and in 2013, "50th Anniversary - The Singles Collection 1962-1972" created a new stereo mix of the single version (3:07).
There seems to be some demand for this album to be re-issued on CD. My mum had it for years. I suppose you can recreate it by finding the tracks elsewhere.
Sounds right to me, thanks. Have now added the other side of cover and just notice on back of sleeve bottom right corner in very small print “Printed and made in Great Britain by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd”
No worries, getalife, I have just found the date, it is September 1978. Date is taken from the discography in the back of Sharon Davis' 1988 book MOTOWN: THE HISTORY. The discography was compiled by Gordon frewin, who was Motown International label manager then, so presumably he got the date from company documentation. Have to wonder where the other sites got 1973 from, though (with Discogs, any old sh@t is possible!).
Is there a 4-digit date code in the bottom right-hand corner of the back cover (e.g. 7801)? There usually is for UK EMI-distributed releases. Anyway, 1978 sounds about right, but I can get the date from a discography compiled by Motown's international label manager.
The Commodores album Natural High is pictured on the inner sleeve, and was released in 1978. Therefore the album can't be earlier than that. And we know it charted in 1978, so it can't be later either. Case closed, I'd say.
Added the inner sleeve which shows other albums advertised, this might help settle the date, I have checked all over the album and can not fine any year for it. Google had 991, Discog, Vinylsearcher and some on eBay saying 1973, but YankeeDisc list dispels them.

There were some double album versions as well....
The idea of 'EMTV' series is that they were all television advertised, to catch all the would be punters at prime time viewing, and then they would go out and spend their shekels.......it worked.
I have just had a look at various Motown references and can't find an earlier version of this, if it did exist it would have a TML or STML cat number....
It's wrong, I'm sure. The EMTV catalogue numbers were for TV-advertised albums and this charted in the UK towards the end of 1978. It's almost certain that's when it was released, since it would have been the TV adverts which propelled it into the chart.
Also, I note Discogs has the one before, EMTV 11, as 1978 - and the one after, EMTV 13 as 1978, so I think we have a pretty much confirmed year.
As I said it is possible an earlier edition exists from 1973, but not this one with the EMTV number.
I was going by Discogs, it also mentions the run out Mastered at Abbey Road-Nick, or have they copy it from my details? The 70s are a blurr to me so happy to go with what you say, if correct.
This can't be 1973, since the blue Motown label wasn't introduced until 1976. In 1973, it was Tamla Motown with the black and silver labels. It's possible this is a re-issue of a 1973 LP, but I would be surprised if it was.
