Hi Mark Taylor - welcome always good to have another Aussie voice (I presume). I don't know who compiled the album but it was hastily put together after John Lennon's death. As pointed out by Neil Forbes the eras and genres are pretty mixed but I guess when the common thread is singers who left us way too early it narrows the field quite a bit. Pity that the best they could come up with for John Lennon was Ain't She Sweet but obviously little choice with copyright limitation.
ReviewThis is a good compilation album except not all songs fall under the same genre A Bit of country, soul, easy listening but still it's worth a listen
ReviewThis album seems a bit lost in the eras it's trying to cover. It jumps around from late 1950s, early 1960s, late 1960s and early-to-mid 1970s but jumps forward and backward between these eras. Also the compilation has tracks (namely B4, B5 & B8) which, though classic hits in their own right, are truly out of place in what is supposed to be an album of Rock & Roll hits.
