| | I wondered that, I think it was said on the forum that fame issues tended to coincide with another release, so with Childhood and it's singles Kayleigh and Lavender being such a big successes for the band wonder if this LP was out '86 to cash in on their popularity.
If it is 88 then it goes with the live album Theiving Magpie's release? |

| | Though I have absolutely no evidence or proof, I reckon 1988 is far too late on this re-issue. Was it out as early as '86 to cash in on the success of Misplaced Childhood ? |

| | I think it has something to do with the cheapness of the editions... EMI just looked at these as easy money cheap as chips reissues, titles they know they can press cheaply, and get out the door due to their popularity, and so maybe they didn't consider them worthy of much attention.. like proper catalogueing and dating.
(Something that really bugs me about all formats... giving the copyright date, but seldom, if ever the issue date - and even the pressing date would be helpful! - )
It seems, looking at the entries for the label on this site, they issued them in a scheduled programme of four or five a month, which can narrow the range a bit, if you have a couple of dates to work from, except where an issue is likely to fall on the cusp of one year (or month) and another... like this one.
(From what I could figure, the Pink Floyd: a Collection Of Great Dance Songs, can only be said to be not earlier than 1986) |

Magic Marmalade 13th Jun 2015
| | given this one a year too, but can't yet confidently assign it a month... and that's about as far as it's possible to go with the available info gleaned from within the Fame discography here. |

| | Yeah I can't find any dates for any of the marillion fame discs, all the discography sites seem to date marillions script.... Fame issue at 1990 so I presume the others were around a similar date.

| | Not anymore it hasn't! I've taken the date out as it is clearly wrong.
I'm on a personal mission to track down a release schedule for Fame. However so far I'm getting nowhere... but I haven't given up yet. |

| | Fame have tried to remove the emi logo and text in the bottom left as found on the original text but a blur is left where the right blue tint wasn't found to match up properly |
