Vinyl Album
Notes The first album, produced by John Cale, and recorded at Fire House Studios, London in December 1986. Released in April 1987. Initially released with track "Desmond", which borrowed heavily from "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" by The Beatles. The usage was not cleared though and Michael Jackson, then-owner of The Beatles' back catalogue, forced the removal of the track, with "24 Hour Party People" taking its place. Even though "Little Matchstick Owen's Rap" is listed on the compact disc, plastic cassette edition and boxed cassette reissue, it does not appear. This missing track is only available as the B-side of the "Tart Tart" single and the initial boxed cassette edition. The first LP edition was issued in a transparent PVC liner, with the album titles printed on. Later editions then were without PVC liner.
